Maintaining homeostasis -- in our urban oasis.

(photo above: BdP discarded wheels are upcycled into a public art piece on the #30ecb block)

About a year ago, BdP's basement went through a proper spring cleaning.  We had an overflow of items, almost all of which have been donated to our bike kitchen from the community.

HUGE thanks to everyone out there!

After we sorted things, we were left with a lot of items that were not suitable as bike parts, so with some artistic interpretation, these wheels were turned into an art piece.

This took place at the Take Back the Alley 3.0 event, it was the 3rd edition of this annual place-making series.

This year, the 4.0 edition featured new communities that have adopted "Take Back the Alley" as a way to understand and beautify the public spaces that are often neglected and overlooked.

Through sharing collective skills, experiences and wisdom, community members are activating their spaces for the betterment of the whole environment.
